I'm trying out Windows Live Writer, which was just released in Beta form.

This looks pretty nice.  I like how clean the HTML is and I like the Virtual Earth integration.  Seems pretty cool.

Some thoughts / notes for the Windows Live Writer folks:

• (P1) When I tried to include a map and then "center" it, I got an unexpected exception
• (P1) You should add align icons to top (left, center, right); don't want to click menu
• (P1) Add cancel button to "Publish"
• (P1) Automatically pick-up proxy settings from IE
• (P2) I really want [Tab] to take me from the title to the body
• (P2) I like the different "Views" options.  You should consider having them as tabs at the top of the screen so I can quickly switch between them
• (P2) Turn "automatically save drafts" on by default

Wow, kudos to the MSN Spaces team.

This is, all in all, really pretty slick.  I really like the UI cleanness, the ability to customize my page, the music and book list, the photo album, etc.  I'm really quite impressed so far.

I'll play around.  Maybe if I'm sufficiently impressed, I'll move over from my vernal.org home.
